Tuesday’s Rumour – Daniel Alves to Chelsea or Manchester City

The mirror alleges that Chelsea and City are after the second (third?) best footballer in the world. The Chelsea link is an odd one as Bosingwa seems to be doing well at right back, and the city one very obvious.

Not convinced would Alves want to swap Camp Nou for Stamford Bridge? Although he was extremely close to signing with Chelsea (nice one) and Liverpool in previous years, both parties dropped out due to Del Nido’s ridiculous demands, Barcelona, however, were will to play (and pay). Since playing at Barcelona, his value (and cost) will have increased massively, plus they have no reason to sell him. Both of these teams would need to pay a lot of money for a right back, which makes the Chelsea link somewhat dubious (season ticket renewal time perhaps?). The City one is obvious, but he won’t go there.
