Is Ashley Young on his way from Villa to Chelsea?

Young would present another exciting option for Chelsea on the left, although it would be a really tough deal to bring through. There’s no way Villa will let him go for anything less than very large fee; the player recently signed a new deal, which means he has another 4 years left on his contract. It also remains to be seen whether Abramowicz still has the Carte Blanche when it comes to players that was the hallmark of his early reign. That being said, he would be an excellent signing for the blues, providing width, pace and danger on the left, as well as youth and an English passport.

It’s pretty dubious as to whether the 6+5 rule will ever kick in, but wise manager will be mitigating this risk.
