Is Antonio Valencia going to Manchester United?

It seems that the Ecuadorian Flyer is definitely on his way. Here’s Steve Bruce and his big fat head:

“It’s inevitable Antonio will leave — but where he goes I’m not quite sure.

“There have been no deals done at all.

“I keep reading that story — but nothing’s been done.”

What story? This one perhaps.

The Sun also reckons that Bayern and Real Madrid are interested in Valencia, but the infamous ’sourcesclosetomanchesterunited’ state that he’s only got eyes for Mr Ferguson.

While Valencia doesn’t have an amazing record (82 played, 7 scored), he’s not been playing with the best players, he’s still young (23), clearly a player with a lot of skill and he can improve a lot.  Indeed he’s improved a great deal since he first came over in a post world cup shower of multiculturalism.

Wigan could also massively benefit from the £20 million that whoever buys the lad will throw their way.  Expect to see a whole load more unknown South or Central Americans pulling up their socks next year at the JJB.
